If you’ve been assigned access to a Windows Remote Desktop, we are going to walk through how to access it.
- Locate the RDP file necessary for your connection.
- Spire: /Shares/Operations/IT/Spire.rdp
- NET2: /Shares/Operations/IT/NET2 – Doors.rdp
- Open the remote desktop app from Finder > Applications > Microsoft Remote Desktop.
- In the top menu bar, click the gear icon, choose Import from RDP file. Navigate to your RDP file listed above, select it and choose Import.
- The RemoteDesktop will now appear in the window. Right click on it and choose Edit.
- Beside User account choose Add a User Account, and enter your Mac username/password, then click Add. Click Save on the still open window.
- Now you will be able to double click the RemoteDesktop and launch into the machine.
