What is MultiFactorAuthentication?

Multi Factor Authentication is a standard for securing your online accounts. You may be familiar with it for your Apple ID or other online services.

The point of multifactor authentication (MFA) is to confirm that it is YOU who is trying to access your account and not some hacker!

Setting Up MFA

Once MFA has been enabled for your account; on your next sign-in to outlook.office365.com, you will be prompted to provide more additional information. If you don’t regularly sign in, or use the desktop app visit https://aka.ms/mfasetup

This video guide walks you through the setup process!

Within the next couple of hours, if you use any desktop apps or have your account on your phone you will likely be prompted to sign in again and use one of the authentication methods to access your account.

Wrap Up

Now anytime you sign into your account you will be prompted for a multi factor authentication to prove it’s you.
