Sometimes certain PDFs say that Adobe Reader is required in order to view them. These tend to be government forms and other “fancy” documents.
- What we want to do first is download the PDF to our computer, if you have already done this, skip to step 2.
If you’re accessing the file from Safari
Right click on the link to the PDF, choose Download Linked File As
If you’re accessing the file in Chrome
Right click on the link to the PDF, choose Save Link As
If you’ve been emailed the document
Choose Download from the option menu beside the document.
2. Open Finder and find the file where ever it was downloaded/saved, it’s quite likely it will be in your Downloads folder.
3. Now right click on the file and choose Open With, from the new menu choose Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. The PDF should now open successfully and you can view the content as needed!
